Name of Product: Viva Doria Wintergreen Essential Oil
Hazard: The product contains the substance methyl salicylate which must be in child resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA). The packaging of the product is not child resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.
Consumers should immediately store the product in a safe location out of reach of children. Contact Viva Doria for disposal and refund instructions. All known purchasers are being notified directly about the recall by Viva Doria or by the on-line retailer where the product was purchased.

This recall involves 30 mL Viva Doria Wintergreen Essential Oil in a amber glass bottle with a black euro dropper cap. The green label on the front of each bottle displays the Viva Doria logo, product name, and the volume amount of the bottle.

Details About the Recall:
In April 2020, it came to our attention that any product that contains more than 5% methyl salicylate, a naturally occurring substance in Wintergreen Essential Oil, would require a child-resistant cap to prevent the risk of poisoning if accidentally swallowed by a young child. We have immediately stopped the sale of Wintergreen Essential oil from all of our marketplaces.
If you purchased Wintergreen Essential oil 1oz (30ml) between May 2019 – April 2020 start by putting this essential oil in a safe place, out of the reach of children and then contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 800-640-3753 We’ll provide disposal recommendations for the product and also provide a full refund for your purchase.
